Power Fuse

10/09/2009 8:00 PM

hi to everyone.! We have an existing 20mva Power Transformer which is connectected from 69kv transmission line. The management is planning to install a Expulsion Power Fuse with a rating of 7.5kv to 69kv, 100 to 400 Amp, Type EPF with an iterrupting capacities of 3,608,200 kva symmetrical at 69kv. My problem is how will it be mounted best?. Would it be good if vertical mounted, 45 degrees Underhung, or Underhung mounting?? onething more is the clearances??

Please help..

You need to carefully check the fuse data sheet and the fuse manufacturer's website. The special requirements for mounting orientation and safety for this particular fuse (and its holder or support) should be clearly indicated there (especially for a fuse of this size and type). Do not attempt to mount the fuse in an orientation it is not specifically designed for.

More information can be obtained from the electrical standard applicable to your particular installation, but there should be enough information provided on the fuse manufacturer's website (including clearance requirements).
