Antifriction?

Rolling element or White metal or Hydrostatic ? (All are technically antifriction)

If it is an rolling element and the Inner race is on the shaft then the finish should be typically between 1.6 to 3.2 μ (depending on size). Much more critical is the cylindricity of the profile.

If it is whir=te metal or other ype of hydrodynamic- then the finish is typically between 0.2 to 0.4μ and may be even lower if the condition demands.

For Hydrostatics- may be again about 3.2μ, but that depeds on the speed and the film thickness.
