Progressive Cavity Pump for Dispensing Paint Pigments

10/13/2009 11:58 AM

Hello, I have to develop a machine to dispense paint pigments and I'm looking for a progressive cavity pump for it.

The PCP can serve as a pump as well as a valve and by attaching a stepper motor, I can control the minimum dispensing unit.

I would like help to either find a company who already has a pump or someone who can help me to design for such specification:

Minimum dosing quantity: 0.03cc
Flow rate: 0.2 L/min
viscosity: 5000CPS

pressure and temperature: the pigment will be in an open container at room temperature.

Cost is a must. We will need over 5,000 of it so the cost is a big player here. My guess is that a plastic fabrication could reduce cost and do the job.

Thanks for your comments, input and ideas.

Thanks Rhabe,

I look at the website and they don't have a PCP that is small enough to handle my needs. And the mikro g/5 pump they have is too expensive for my project.
