Hysteresis Loss in Core

10/14/2009 2:19 AM

Hi

As all knows, hysteresis loss occurs due to magnetic reversals in the core.

My doubt is how the magnetic reversal causes a loss in the core.

Please share your views.

Thanks and Regards

If you have studied electricity and magnetism, look at any standard hysteresis curve. Notice that there is an area inside the curve. That area is proportional to the lost energy (work).

Is that the question you are asking?

friend,

Hysteresis loss is nothing but losses occured during reversal of direction of orientation of atoms in magnetic field.

This is the most fundamental losses in any magnetic materials.

Please read link below or go back to basic electrical engineering books.
