If so check standard switchgear suppliers and see if the Bureau Veritas certification mark is included on their website or switchgear data sheets.
Switchgear construction standards depend on the country. Since you mention Bureau Veritas I am assuming you are interested in applicable European standards.
Thanks for your input but I'm quoting the switchgear, etc. for a couple of crew boats that are BV rated and trying to find the BV "type" approval for electrical eqpt. such as breakers, transformers, etc. I was hoping to find breakers from C-H, etcs that would fill the bill but they seem to be unsure themselves! ABB has 100 amp frame and up that is but there panelboard type breakers aren't. Damned yankees!

Bureu veritas as I know are systemie quality system auditors.For a product it is required to comply with IEC In General and or national standards of the country.The manufacturer should have type tested the product and obtained certification which can be mentioned like KEEMA etc.
