The best tip is to follow the manufacturer's installation instructions!

You need follow manufacturer instruction. Something very important are protection. Use a motor protection relay (overload, machanical jam, temperature of winding, minimun current, temperature of bearing, number of start...)

I'm pretty sure when you purchased a motor it has always with manufacturer's manual as guide for right installation(Mechanical and Electrical datas). Let the supplier/s install their product or hire a qualified person who is able to interpret technically the installation/opreration instruction manual.

Make sure you use a proper type (design) coupling for the HP(KW), speed and alignment issues. The pumping temperature can create expansion or growth potential which the coupling must be capable of handling. Proper installation of a unit this size needs more than just reading a book or set of instructions. Use of dial indicators or a laser alignment system and experience is needed. A broken coupling becomes a deadly missile or a shitload of shrapnel.

Please check the Supply Voltage and Motor name plate Rated Voltage.

The Supply should be connected thru proper Air Circuit Breaker / Vacuum Circuit Breaker with a Over load and Earth Fault relay.

Motor Body and Circuit Breaker Panel body to be properly earthed to aviod electric shock if there is any short circuit.

The Motor Coupling and Pump Coupling should be properly Aligned.

Close the motor terminal box Properly. Close the VCB and apply voltage. Check Current drawn by the Motor and it should be less than motor rated current.

Operate the stop button and see that the motor stops.

Now you can load the motor.
