Maximum Magnetic force for materials & its measurement

11/12/2009 12:41 AM

1. For a specified material (samarium-co or alnico or others) what determines the maximum magnetic force to which the mass can be magnetized? Is it the geometry, the bulk density of the mass (when the magnet is made by sintering to a particular shape) or any other?

2. How do you measure the magnetic force? What instrument?
