OCR4P

11/13/2009 2:43 PM

In observance of this Fri. 13th I thought I would solicit from the community any anecdotes/stories of projects they were involved in that started out swimmingly but then suddenly went horribly, horribly wrong. Whether due to bad luck, unintended consequences, unfortunate timing, management incompetence, vendor misrepresentation, malfeasance of a competitor (but through no fault of your own of course) most engineers with a few years under their belt have a horror story to tell. Sometimes these can be pretty funny in hindsight. So go ahead, lighten up the end of the week with your tales of D'oh!

Not my best work, but I think this will fit the bill:

WOW! That one is going to be tough to beat.

I have seen such an unfortunate "Glad that wasn't me' video:

Only about 1 minute long... worth the watch! Get that action plan in place!

Nice Thread.

We like to think that things that start well, end well.

The truck pull vid is terrific, and the poem too.

That photo would go well in the Friday afternoon Caption Competiton!
