Which surface treatment do you suggest for a machined part made of MS.?

Application of the part : This part gets rubbed(scratched) continuously while machine is running.

What type of Rub? Scratch?

can you put a soft guide bush (say brass) at the support and chrome plate the Iron?

Or Nitride (It is just a bit better than carburising)

Or Stellite.

Rub or scratch that means some kind of a little wear.

Is it not possible to put some guide bushing (lot of graphited or ceramic) bushings available along with graphite impregnated bronze.

I think that should do, along with the chrome plated shaft.
