Can't offer you a job, but will comment with the view to assisting you.

As an outsider looking on, and with experience in hiring engineers from outside Australia (is that you) I offer the following for consideration:

- your experience seems limited for 30 years. What big stuff have you achieved in that time and including senior positions? That you were a gold medallist is good (so was I once) but its what you've done since that counts a lot more. True also I think, is that the older you get the more important your personal and management skills.

- keep in mind that too many applicants from some areas of the world are inclined to make incredible claims, so if you can back up what you claim it is better.

- what specifically do you think you want to do, and how does this fit your skill set? There is not a lot of job charity around at the moment!

- you will presumably need to do something in relation to engineering as there is no reason to believe you can compete at anything else - and this raises the question of whether your qualifications are accepted in which ever country you are looking at.

- you really do need to make sure that what you write does not have errors, and that includes gaps after full stops, as to do otherwise destroys your credibility.

Good luck

TrevorM: Excellent response!

mridul chanda: Wrong forum.

I, too, have experience hiring engineers (in the USA.)

I would not have bothered to respond to the OP based on his post.
