febco 765 froze/broke

12/05/2009 4:57 PM

This morning I found some valve parts in my lawn and water pouring out of pipe/valve assembly. I found a part - canopy of febco 765. So for now I have just turned off water supply by closing the ball valve.

What should be my immediate step before I call someone for service or find broken parts and replace myself. http://www.jerman.com/765manual.pdf For now, I have just turned off ball valve A in the figure on pg2. Will it create any back pressure and mess anything else up?

Do I need professional to look at it or can I just get appropriate parts and fix it. Any advice will be helpful.
