why drilling machine is efficient than lathe machine

hi

I think drilling m/c gives multiple tool effect rather than a single point tool.

Mech effcy = o/p / i/p

even if input power remains same Drilling m/c can do better .

the helical continuous cutting edges also enhance the output.
