Selecting Gas Pipeline Instruments

12/07/2009 4:54 AM

I am doing instrumentation engineering design on a pipeline project for transportation of natural gas from a gas processing facility through an inter state underground 48inch x 400km pipeline to hook up to another pipeline.

I need technical assistance of experienced professional colleagues in choosing and specifying acceptable and tested:

1. Gas pipeline Real time monitoring and Leak detection systems

2. Applicable and Suitable gas pipeline instruments, telecommunication, and fire & gas detection systems

I will like to have contact details of such professional colleagues.

Furthermore I will like to receive reference document or where to download such document that will enable me carry out the design of the instrumentation, telecommunication, and Fire & Gas detection systems of the Gas pipeline.

Rgds,

EIfediora

Have you considered hiring someone who can do "instrumentation engineering design" for you? I cannot conceive of you"doing instrumentation engineering design on a pipeline project for transportation of natural gas"after asking the above questions.

It is obvious that you are not equipped to perform the task and this seems rather complex to be asking total strangers for help.

Either go to school or hire a professional.

Hii Lynlynch,

I presume CR4 is a forum for professionals to share thoughts and ideas. If you do not have any help or advice to give you can at least keep your cool rather than being naughty.

I am not only competent, I am well qualified and equipped and have carried out several Gas Pipelines Instrumentation design. I only wanted to take advantage of the forum to evaluate any alternative thoughts on pipeline instrumentation design.
