12/16/2009 8:03 AM

An Engineer by Default has designed a chilled water HVAC system with DRV/Balancing walve in the inlet of chiller. Does anybody approve of this?

An Engineer by Default is a Butcher who is not professionally qualified but aways acts as one going arount butchering things he has no knowledge.

DRV/Blancing valves are installed in a HVAC system Chiller out let water line. If you install in the inlet, there will be turbulance in chiller and it will not be flooded with water which is must for super heating refrigerant to leave to compressor. U can see in CRANE valve cataluges the postion where this has to be installed.

Does the installation agree with the "for construction" P&ID?

  • If not, then change the installation so that it does.
  • If it does, then query the process and controls design with the relevant designer(s).
