Sir I want to know the advantage of using pilotwire protection relay & supervision equipment relay & SPAJ Relay in a substation in HT Switchgear panel.
There are many advantageous on pilot wire, especially a new type of Microprocessor relay. I have implemented for onshore plant and offshore platform with the distance around 20 to 24 km using fiber optic for relay comunication.
But I am still interested with your reply on "motor faults" subject. Do you have any information that already sent to you?
For motor protection we are using mostly The neumerical relays comprising of these functions i.e.- Short circuit/Earth fault/CB fail/Limit of load /loss of load/locked rotor /under & over voltage protections etc.
The relays are for motor protection are MICOM-P225,P141,P220
