Power Cable Sizing

kindly tell me that how we will calculate the size of power cable with respect to load current ???

which cable you want to size is it LV OR HV cable? LV cable sizing is done current carring capacity where as HV cable sizing is done on mainly fault current.

tell me if there is 33 KV, 87.0 Amp. load then what is criteria to select the cable size. ,is there any formula for selection process .

As i mentioned we also should know the fault level of the system that is in KA .that is the main criteria for HV cable sizing.Because even 33KV 3CX25 sq.mm cable will also carry your 87A current .but this is not correct method to size cable.Pls tel mi the fault level of system.

the fault level is 31.5 KA
