Greetings gentlemen,

Is there any solution to protect or at least warning us about any electrical cable theft attempt?

From Where? The warehouse, is it installed, is it live, outdoors, indoors, ground height, towers? Much more info is needed.
Dobermans are good with storage. Look for charred shoes if live wires are involved. Keep the ground moist for good conductivity.

The devil is in the details, as mentioned above. Post your circumstances, there are different approaches depending on what you need.

I wanted to make you aware of a product that we have developed for cable monitoring. The RCDU (Remote Cable Monitoring Unit) is able to detect cable faults, including open circuits due to theft, over a length of powered or un-powered cable stretching several kms. If a fault is detected a message can be sent to our web-based monitoring centre as well as text/email messages to pre-defined points of contact. The fault reports contains the nature of the fault (i.e. possible theft, water ingress, cable insulation failure etc.) as well as a GPS co-ordinate. This is particularly useful in the case of theft as it happens immediately an open circuit occurs and maximising the chance of the thieves being caught. Feel free to contact me paul at varisys dot co dot uk
