Centrifugal pump

01/22/2007 9:20 PM

Actually I asked my vendor to provide 3/4" instrument connection for
pulsation stabilizer on pump casing in discharge branch of the pump
but vendor is offering me that connection at discharge flange of pump
(Centrif. ver. inline API Pump, Disch. flange size is 6", 300#). My
question is that does this change in location will affect the pump by
any mean and does the code say any thing regarding this size of hole
on pump flange.

I am intrigued – why would you want a "pulsation stabilizer" on this type of pump?
