Directly elbow to flange without a spool?

If your doubt is about the thicknesses, you have to bevel the ID to suit the thicknesses, there are quite a few posts on this, including a recent one.

As per schedule/code acceptability, that depends on your design and the relevant codes whether you are on EPV (PN 40) or ASME (Sch 40)

Yes, if 3.6mm thk is acceptable for your pressure & temperature. Edge preparation of 6mm will be required.

Noted. Now you have to do the wall thk calculations yourself or arrange it by other professionals. Others can not do it for you !

• Yes you can join two different thicknesses together taking into account to do a taper as defined in CR4 Thread: Difference thickness.

• Download the following PDF file: Design_for_Pipes_of_Unequal thicknesses.

As per ASME B 31.1,

Internal misalignment (inside wall thickness difference) allowed is upto 2 mm.In this case no need to do tapering of thicker part inside.

For inside wall thickness difference more than 2 mm ,we have to do tapering of thicker part as per ASME B16.25.Same information has given by Mr.Galala.

In above question, inside wall thickness difference is more than 2 mm.So you have to do elbow tapering.
