Your question seems to be completely unrelated to the topic of fluid dispensing.

To dispense fluid, you can open a valve, turn on a pump, depress the plunger in a hypodermic needle, squeeze the bulb on an eye dropper, tilt a pitcher or barrel, use a dipper from a bucket, and probably a few other methods that creative minds might dream up....

What I need is the solution for fluid which is very tricky to handle,

this material dry so fast and thick.

For this sort of application, I would take a look at concrete pumps or progressive cavity pumps (maybe they are the same thing?) As you may know, concrete pumps are quite common and can deliver concrete for a substantial distance through 4-inch (100 mm) pipes, or about that size. It sounds as though your fluid characteristics would be similar.

Well, dispensing volume is small,max.4ml/min.and +/-3% accuracy required.

1,500 substrates to be run per day.

Fluid is silver paste.

Hmm, that's a different story from what I was envisioning. I don't know what technology would normally be used for this, but if I were designing from scratch I would consider a small cylinder with a stepper-motor-driven screw to activate it. Patent #7,xxx,xxx ? for anyone who wants to pursue this, but it sounds like run-of-the-mill art of the trade to me.

sounds like an application you put on paper through a Web.

Is this paste water soluble?

Well, it is actually kind of cream, mix of siliver and paste. I don't know exactly it is soluable, I haven't got the sample at the moment, I can check.

Not sure of the thermal properties of this fluid or the application you are talking about, but could you heat the fluid to thin it some and use a peristaltic pump?

This is done 24/7/ by thousands of companies world wide. I'm at a loss to understand the OP's lack of knowledge.

Well then consider this a wake up call.

I have seen people in the technical field making claims they are engineers and not self proclaimed but company acknowledged, all because of daddy's connections.

Challenged these piss-ants and your fired..........but if you do have the nadds to challenge, be decisive....things will swing around.

If it's drying so fast it must be solvent based. Smell?

Check with the manufacturer, and find out what solvent is in it, and figure out how much solvent can be added without changing the properties in your finished product.

It sounds like a syringe type application would work for that volume, as long as the paste is fluid enough. Maybe the solvent could be used as a lubricant, to keep the paste from drying in the dispenser.

I'm only speculating on a possible solution. Talk to your manufacturer and you'll figure it out. Good luck.

What is the viscosity at say 80 deg F, and is it thixotropic? May be EFD system might help you. I had used EFD dispenser once for a project. Are you dispensing this continously or intermittently? Intermittent might pose more challenge, but I believe it can be accomplished. Contact from www.lightfab.com and ask for the Sr. R&D Engineer if you still do not find a solution, and your company is willing to support outside help.
