Pipe Standardization

Can anyone please tell what the things to be taken care while standardizing pipes?

I'm trying to figure out exactly what you are looking for. Do you have a specific application, because there are hundreds. I'll give you some. Piping comes with a specific wall thickness or schedule. There is type L and type M copper pipe. L has a thicker wall. There is black iron screwed pipe schedule 40 and schedule 80. There is also welded schedule 80 pipe. Engineers will always list a pipe schedule in the spacification. If you have a specification or application, we might be able to answer your question.
