Smoke detector inside switchgear

Is High Sensitivity Smoke Detection (HSSD) system involving aspirated type smoke sensors inside the switchgear cabinets/panels is necessary .

It sometimes surprises one to see the questions about basic safety devices. One should understand that they are important even if the functions overlap. It is always better to be cautious than confident.

It is not neccessary but can prove very useful in detecting an incipient fire condition well before there is visible smoke present. www.air-intelligence.com

Hello,

It's not necessary, you can usual smoke detectors.

I prefe to use HSSD because it high sensitivity compare to usual smoke detectors.
