I.S. Barriers vs. Isolators

can any one explain the diffreance between I.S barrier and isolators and theier working princpile and their types and their manufactuers

There is a good article in Wikipedia on electrical equipment in hazardous atmospheres. EEx i is one of a number of ways of ensuring that electrical installations are safe, though there are pitfalls for the user to be aware of. EEx i is only suitable for instrumentation-level currents and voltages.

There are dozens of barrier manufacturers. Try the MTL and the Pepperl & Fuchs (usual disclaimer) catalogues for further information.

Selection and use of this equipment requires a level of training to ensure a safe and compliant installation first time, every time. Attendance on a training course locally is therefore highly recommended.
