(1)can we use metering current transformer as protection current transformer if not why? & if yes why?

(2)(35) What makes the difference between 50Hz supply and 60Hz supply which one is economical and how can you support your answer..........

(3) What happens with squirrel induction machines if the ends of

rotor conductors are kept open? Explain

(4) if we supply DC power to AC transformer then what is result?

Sorry Tornado, can not waste his efforts. So answering all his questions.

(1) Yes you can, after all a transformer is a transformer, whether current or voltage, whether metering or protection, the results may vary.

(2) The difference is 10Hz. The economy lies in where you are. If you are in US, the 60Hz is economical. In Europe it is 50Hz. After all you will generate to run your equipments/ feed to grid.

(3) The squirrel will escape (sorry Kris, i really meant you) and you will be left with only an induction motor.

(4) You will get AC (after all Transformer transforms doesn't it? so the out put is known, what ever may be the input, it will adapt to it)
