Mains Load Current and Voltage Measurement

02/22/2010 4:15 AM

plz any one can help me to design a circuit using pic microcntroller to measure mains voltage and load current without using current transformer or volage transformer. actually i wish to measure with pic microcontroller's internal ADC ,so how can i convert this mains voltage and load current to DC plz suggest me a good circuit or good link

thanks in advance

Did you give up on the

how to measure hemoglobin concentration with pic microcontroller? thread?

It's hard to find decent help these days, isn't it?

that is funny...

have you though about using a resistor for both current and voltage? watch you might want to put a WYA on your PCB.

LEM makes good voltage a current devices... if you have enough money. just digikey them. you will see. for current look up something like a LA 55-P, for voltage look up something like LV 25-P

I'd strongly advise you to use transformers for isolation.

It can be done quite easily without, but I'm not going to tell you how, as I'd hate to have your life on my conscience.

By analogy: if you wait long enough, you'll see it "floating" on CR4 pages
