Yes, of course. Pretty basic. Not much to add here except that you could maybe turn off the all-caps and make sure that you delineate your words with spaces.

I would have to add that self checking, or in this case proof reading, is a highly desirable personal character trait that relates directly to the value you place on what you do. It also displays your core competency by striving to excel.

i before e except after c. If you can not remember the rule (which has exceptions - it is after all English) then the spell checker is marvelous substitute.
