what is the difference between in absolute and gauge pressure?
Pressure measurement - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Answer: local barometric pressure, which is a function of local weather conditions.
Absolute pressure is the pressure relative to a total vacuum; gauge pressure is relative to atmospheric pressure.
e.g. the pressure in an unsealed vessel would be (about) 1 bar absolute, but zero gauge.
About 14.5-14.75psi depending what the atmospheric conditions are.
