Breaker Ratings and Conversions

What is the formula to convert the breaker MVA rating into KA & vice versa.

the kA rating is the short circuit current that the breaker will disconnect safely without incurring significant damage.

The MVA rating is the apparent power, or reactive power (see numerous CR4 threads on power factor) that the breaker will withstand continuously without damage.

The two figures are established by testing.
