PRESSURISED GAS INSIDE A CYLINDER

03/20/2010 3:38 PM

JUST OUT OF CURIOSITY .... IF U TAKE A GAS & COMPRESS IT INSIDE A CYLINDER UNTIL IT REACHES A CERTAIN TEMPERATURE (Eg: 300 Degrees CELCIUS) HOW LONG CAN THAT TEMPERATURE BE SUSTAINED INSIDE THE CYLINDER BEFORE IT DROPS ... OR WILL IT REMAIN CONSTANT UNTIL THE PRESSURE IS RELEASED? .... ANYONE

If the air surrounding the cylinder is cooler than the gas and the cylinder, the cylinder and the gas will begin to cool immediately.
