Angular Twist

03/24/2010 5:15 AM

Hi All.

I would like to know what is the relation between radians and mm where radians is the measure of angle of twist. Any help will be good.

What are the mm a measure of, and in what context?

torando

the angular twist value the supplier gave is in radians which has been converted to mm in last output. to my knowledge its only the value of teh radians multiplied by radius of the object used. only on following the above method the value which he states in mm is found to be rite.

Angle of twist in radian x radius in mm gives arc length (measured at same radius) in mm.

Cheers

2*pi radians = 360 degrees

This wont tell you how many mm though cos it depends what the radius of your circle is, or arc if you haven't completed one full rotation.
