If you have only 3 wires, your bank is designed for a delta (in Europe TRIANGLE) circuit.

If you have 4 wires, it is a bank for Y (star).

I go for the 3 wires:

These wires are connected each to 2 groups of capacitors, connecting these also in delta. You can do 3 things: Split the groups, having 3 sets of capacitors. Connect 1 set- between neutral and your phase. (doesn't matter which wire on what) You still have 2 sets left: If your cos phi correction is not enough, you can parallel connect a next group or a series circuit of two groups, parallel to the first.

This last circuit is done automatically when you connect whatever 2 wires and insulate the third.

PWslack : i walk & searching all over my home town are... there is no 1 selling a 250VAC single phase cap!!!

omg... so, i have no choise, bought a 415Vac 3 phase 20Kvar. and now asking pro for comment & installation guides...

dvmdsc : thanks for the reply. but i got a poor electrical engineering back ground. can you please explain it in more specified? like the cap have 3 L pole and 1 GRN, connect all 3 Life into single phase Life? how about Neutral?

jvrj : my achievement is to stop the fluctuating (flickering lighting) current in my house when i start my heater. and... save wasted energy...

The capacitors are not going to help your problem. If you have 3 L wires, they come one from each of the capacitors.

That is 3 times a L. Don't connect yet.

But your GRN, is that a wire to each capacitor too or are the capacitors all in the same housing? and this wire connects the other poles together?

Or it is a ground to the housing (pot) of the capacitor?

In the US green is earth. I think also in UK, But Europe has a half green/half yellow earth. (striped)

Why, what are you hoping to achieve?
