Log In Problems

04/05/2010 4:36 PM

So, i was using my laptop in the morning and i had to leave after that and when i came back i tried to log in as normal. the first thing that came up was that i needed to have a disk check and that has happened before but i skipped it as usual. after that i got to my screen where i can choose which account to log in to and i chose mine and typed in my password. it took very very log to load so i just turned it off and tried it again. it continued to happen multiple times. i took out the battery for like 2 minutes and it still didn't work. someone please help! by the way if this helps anyone help me, my mcafee has been messed up lately and someone suggested that i call the mcafee people and see what they say. thanks.

A friend purchased a McAfee product for $79 about 4 years ago. She was having a very hard time installing it and called McAfee. They told her that for $99 they would help her. She explained that the product installation was the problem and that she would return it before she would pay $99 extra to install a $79 product. They said that was fine. She returned it to McAfee and they issued a $79 credit.

If they can't be bothered to help someone who wants them to keep the purchase price of a product then I doubt that they will an existing product owner for free.

Sounds like a software issue. Let the computer load up properly as it may be something as simple as trying to install windows or software updates (or recover after a few unintended shutdowns). Sometimes it can take a while, so be patient. If the problem still persists perhaps it is a specific program that is causing it.
