Hello out there; I am trying to locate a small Torsion Spring , approx, 3/4 to 1 in. in dia. 3/4 in. deep, with 1/2 in dia for shaft. Torsion strength , 20 to 30 Lbs. for Med device.
in the last ? years I did design many different flexures - most highly specialised so I expect that I can give you a solution if you don't find what you need.
Torsion spring produces torque not a force. If you define a force you should specify the spring arm length that the force is acting on. Added to it you should specify the spring angular deflection under the force or forces. Next you should define the number of loading cycles (fatigue design) if applicable. etc.
You are right. Some of RHABE's products seem impressive though. Very specific jobs I think. Try to use the existing supply houses if you can. Custom jobs can kill you on the tool-up unless your expecting a volume run. Good luck. I,m on my home laptop at the moment; someone let me know if it's any smarter.
