Steam Turbine Lubeoil vapour extraction syatem

Sir

We have siemens steam Turbine (C240S-1) of 55 MW. For which we have luboil system for its bearing lubrication. Its main oil tank has demister fans Type SAP_530 (5.5 KW, 2880 rpm and volume 590 m3/hr). Generally we are keeping the system under vacuum between -90 to - 120 mmwc. We observed the carry over of lubeoil vapour and loosing the substantial amount of oil. Kindly suggest the remidial action to be taken to minimise the oil carry over to atmosphere?

From where to where is this "carry over" occuring?

I am not familiar with particular scheme, but why have positive ventilation at all, rather than simply an atmospheric "breather," on the main oil tank?

ed What i understand that are missing or lose amount of lube oil while the turbine is on operation. Firest of all you have to check and confirm there is no oil leak from the other source such as you have to check the valves all type and piping and piping flange.

If the oil was confirmed from the lube oil tank vent fan so you have to

1-check the fan filter perhaps clogged.

2-Check the fan filter mech maby its so larg than design so you have to modfiy.

3-Check the fan filter condition maby deform.

4-Check the fan it self maby losing some won clerance.

and finally you have back to the fan section drawing.
