Please tell me a well definition of Statutory regulation which we generally used to make a plot plan , equipment layout, piping layout...for a chemical or petroleum plant, of a refinery..

Thanks & Regards

stat·u·to·ry: /ˈstætʃʊˌtɔri, -ˌtoʊri/ Show Spelled[stach-oo-tawr-ee, -tohr-ee]

–adjective1. of, pertaining to, or of the nature of a statute. 2. prescribed or authorized by statute. 3. conforming to statute. 4. (of an offense) recognized by statute; legally punishable.

A Statutory Regulation would be a regulation (Code) that has the power of law behind it.

I do not know where you are (possibly India?) but you need to find out what Codes or Regulations are imposed by the government where you are. Many times there are two or more Codes hat could be applied to the same work. An example of this is (in the USA) there is the ASME B31.1 and ASME B31.3 that could apply to the design of piping in and around a Steam Power Plant inside a Refinery. In this case it is the Client who must define the "Design Basis".

As for these, I do not know:

  • OISD - ?
  • CCOE - ?
  • SMPV - ?
  • TAC - ?
