Counter with Printer Option Needed

04/30/2010 4:31 PM

I need a preset counter to count pulses from Banner LX6 MFG pt # 02676. The operator would like to enter a preset number of units that pass through the opposing through beams and turn off the belt (currently 24 vdc speed variable speed controller) and print out a 2" X 3" or close to that label when the counted number equals the preset number and start all over again when the counter is reset. Do you have a controller and display with easy up and down arrows for preset number entry, with a printer option. The printer will only need to print the quantity counted, hopefully the preset number and printed label will match.

Make sense man!

The second Google hit from [Banner LX6] was this thread!

Need to know:

  • What is Banner LX6?
  • Who is the manufacturer of the device?
  • What are "opposing through beams"?

Most of Tektronix's scopes with embedded PC's (ala TDS5032) have the ability to trigger on the "nth" pulse, then store the result. You could program the PC to print whatever you want for labels (using Visual Basic, for instance).
