Training on Electrical Machine Design

05/06/2010 1:53 AM

Hi everyone, I would appreciate if you all could recommend a training institute/ firm that gives training in "Electrical machine design" like Generator, transformer and switchgear.

Please do provide me the link and contact address. I have tried to find it myself but in vain.

Thanks.

Thank you everyone. As of now, I already checked in ABB, India and I got offer for training in "Transformer and Reactors".

I will definitely get in touch with you next time for training in other areas.

Hi The Prof, thank you soooo much. That was really informative. I will try in ABB and Siemen. My department had kept enough budget provision for training us, the engineers, so I guess cost is not much of a problem as long as the course is good.

Thanks.

Merle,

I would try companies such as ABB or Siemens, they have extensive (though not cheap) training courses available. Just Google say ABB training (an example only)course and you will get many hits.

Thanks PWSlack. But I am looking more into Industrial kind of training which is involved in actual design work and have experience in it. I think I had enough of engineering academic stuff.

Look for technical colleges and universities locally that run courses in Electrical Engineering.
