GI Welding - Joint Treatment

when two GI pipes are welded together, the galvanising property is at the joint. what treatment is to be made for the joint??

Before welding or after?

Before: remove the Zinc from the weld and the HAZ.

After: go for any of the cold galvanizing methods.

Don't weld galvanised pipe. Screw it instead.
