Material specification

what type of material shall be used for different application (type of fluids) ?? can anybody give the information where i can get about different industrial materials of construction for valves, other instruments based on type of fluids (for corrosive, high temp, pressure applications) ????

Google "materials compatibility".

A shortcut to the Cole-Palmer materials compatibility database (usual disclaimer) is a useful tool in any Engineer's toolbox.
