Oops.

You should have read the licensing provisions first.

Did you confirmed from CD supplier if it is legal to do so? or have checked licensing agreement?

If its not legal to do so, in that case it is a kind of piracy and no one here will advice to so.

It is definitely not legal to do so. These are usually protected against this type of practices. It is definitely not ethical.

why the two can not do the preparation together?

The OP is young, this is the time he should distinguish between what is etical and what is not, and try to tread the straight path.

He should understand that, there is a lot of effort that has gone into making, what ever he is buing. There are $s spent. Now if everybody keeps on trying to get things free, who will tomorrow take the effort to make a new updated one?

BTW: Do you see the TATA tea ads? I really like the messages.

Once the program is installed you should not need the CD. If the original is needed, that is what the vendor requires and your out of luck. Check the licensing agreement. Many programs are allowed to be installed on several computers that YOU own for ease of use. Normally it records how many times it has been installed and if you go over that amount you are denied access. Microsoft does this on almost all their software. Contacting them if you are the original owner, is probably your only option.

As others have said this product is likely only licenced for one computer at a time (see licence agreement in manual or on the CD), which is standard for almost all purchased software. Copying the CD with Nero won't work. Installing the program on your friends computer using the original CD and key may possibly work, but probably won't be legal, and may even invalidate your original key disabling the software altogether (again see end user agreement in manual or on the CD).

Since sharing the CD is not viable, I would suggest getting your friend around and using a single computer with the software loaded on to it either together or in turns.

Let the studying begin!
