how the air balancer hoist works(when the load is taken it is balanced and when it is moved it stays in place)

what is the principle of working

any idea?/

By air balancer hoist do you mean a vacuum hoist?

Vacuum, which is drawn in corragated hoses colapses the spring in the hose lifting the load. When no more vacuum is applied the hose holds the load at that position. When the vacuum is released the load lowers.
