Why not consult the instrument's documentation.

Hi Safaraz,

You give no details as to the type of transmitter you want to calibrate, but in general you would find a load, perhaps a resistor of precisely known value, within the required range of values. Connect this load to the output terminals of your transmitter and connect a monitoring/measuring device, an accurate digital meter or a digital oscilloscope, across this load. Use ohms law, E = I x R, to determine the level you should be getting. Then adjust the transmitter to get the required reading on the monitoring device.

Hope this helps, or tells you what further information you need to seek.

Peace,

Hi Safaraz,

I no longer work in the instumentation field, so I can't help with any documentation. However, you will need to supply more information before anyone can help. The make and model of the Level Transmitter, what it transmits, ie analog voltage, or current, or digital pulse and so forth is a minimum requirement. I'd suggest entering the make and model of the instrument into a search engine, google is good for technical subjects, with an addition to the search string of "technical manual" or some such. Follow the links from there.

give some thought to your search strings; good answers can only come from good questions.
