Coal Catalyst

05/18/2010 8:18 AM

Hello Fellow Members,

Does any one has an experience in using coal catalyst for the coal fired boilers? What are the products available in the market (India or Asia)?

How the efficacy of the catalyst is measured?

Appreciate all your feedback on this subject.

Regards

Sharad

Usually it's pulverised.

Sharad: The thermal efficiency of a furnace or boiler is equal to the combustion efficiency minus the jacket loss. Thermal efficiency, also known as "boiler efficiency" or "overall efficiency," is a boiler's energy output divided by its energy input. Unlike combustion efficiency, thermal efficiency accounts for radiation and convection losses through a boiler's shell. It is equal to combustion efficiency minus jacket-loss percentage.

Hi Sharad,

Coal catalysts are used for coal fired boilers and it helps in improving the efficiency as well as lowering the CO2 and SO2 emissions. I represent Asia Coal Catalysts Company in India and we can take this discussion forward. There is a laboratory data as well as site data available and can be shared with you if you are keen.

I can be reached on dsnconsulting@gmail.com
