Hot Tap- Alloy Steel

Can we take hot tap in alloy steel line?? Actually in my short career till now I have not seen it. So just a doubt about that.

So long as you can find a drill capable of penetrating the particular alloy, it can be hot tapped by using or adapting some existing technique. You might need to adhere to some careful procedures to keep the hot line from weakening during the process; this may entail a case-by-case study.
