Refractory Heat Loss Calculation

05/22/2010 11:12 PM

I want to calculate refractory thickness for fired heater radiant section. The design condition are as below:

hot face temperature - 860°C

casing temperature allowed - 82°C at 0 m/s velocity and 27°C.

Please help me in establishing a procedure for determining refractory thickness

Homework?

Try to find a solution &as good as you can and show your way of thinking. You will get corrections. Nobody will agree to pre-chew for you.

Why do you not have the courage to say "yes it is a home work and I do not know how to deal with it" ?

If you would have done an effort as little as possible to show that you also want to learn and participate at the finding of a solution you would have obtained all support.

Any way I know it is not as simple as it seams but you must show your interest.
