You're being paid to provide a service, provide it. Wipe the things with a rag.

The idea of covering the fittings is a good one. It does take a lot more time to remove the cap, grease the fitting, then replace the cap. Its quicker and simpler to just wipe the fitting and grease it and you're done. Having done both, prefer to wipe first then grease. Many times you have to wipe the cap before removing anyway.

if you know the heavy equipments or trucks ,its almost impossible to clean nicely before grease , some time its covered completely with mud ,putting cap , or wipe out by rag , it looks ok but how many service people are doing this ,

Even if they start doing this , they will take almost double time , and here time is also important . And even you wipe out from rag , you can not avoid dirt completly ,

Any way thanks for the suggestion

You are totally right. It makes you wonder why you clean the fitting sometimes since the moving parts are exposed to so much dust, dirt, cinders, and grit in their normal use the only thing you can hope for is to push some of that junk out of the joints by greasing with plenty of grease. Sure doesn't sound nice, but that's the environment heavy equipment usually works in.

The best way is install automatic lubrication ( greasing) system, such as Groenevel, Linconl and others. With tis systems you don't need to grease the machine o Truck the systems works alone.

Have you seen the Grease Nipple has a ball which is pushed upwards by a spring.

When you use the grease gun the ball is pushed down allowing the grease to go in.

and this ball seals any spillage of grease and acts as a dust protector.

Commonly when you push the new grease with your high pressure pump, manually or lower pressure pneumatic type, the old grease come out and as much will keep dirty the floor.Ball bearings when are not self lubricated with its special grease, are oil lubricated in some oil carter so is neither the case..I found what you say is true in just one case:big and small chains.big ones case is not so easy wash and you just add with brushes new grease until it gets wasted or destroyed and you need replace it.the high speed ones needs oil carters.May be you already know about motorcicles chains. Most controversial are bycicles chains:old people like me:light grease, ordinary people adds wd40 to some rest of grease, young people:oil.-
