Voltage drop

What is the voltage drop consider in lighting loads as per NEc is it 2% or 3% or 5% ?

From mains to switching device, 3% max; from switching device to load, 3% max; total 5% max. (I.e., if the full 3% in one, then only 2% in the other.)
