Composition of Producer Gas

05/31/2010 6:58 AM

I want to know whether it is possible to analyse the constituent of the producer gas in volume or by weight, by knowing the composition of the coal under combustion

I suspect that you mean 'predict', rather than 'analyse'. And I think that the answer is 'no'. It will depend on the conditions of the reaction.

If you analyse the gases from a particular reactor, you may be able to corrrelate that with the coal analyses.

The idea is to predict, as you say, the composition of producer gas thus produced from burning of coal of which the composition is known. This is required as we do not have wherewithal to analyse the composition of producer gas.
