I read a while ago (probably here) about an idea to make highways out of this type of material. I think it's great that it is being put to use.

In Toulouse (South of France, the town where the Airbus 380 is assembled) part of a walkway in down-town was equipped with piezogenerators and the energy used for the street lights. It works since a couple of month apparently without problems.

Yes, a new generation of elevators will come equipped with bicycle pedals. This way, you can generate the electricity needed to lift you up a few floors and stay carbon neutral! The company is applying for grants under the green product promotion budget paid by our taxes...
