Oh, please. It's clear to everyone that you have Daddy issues of the worst possible kind - what with not not actually having one at all (unless you somehow count midi-chlorians).

Your whole history is that of constant rebellion against authority and a severe lack of self-discipline. You didn't like working for Watto and so ran off at the first opportunity to become a Jedi. When the Jedi wouldn't promote you to Master fast enough to suit you, you threw a hissy, even though you knew you were totally disobeying their clear "no dating" rule. Eventually you quit (well, got fired - literally) and signed on with Emperor Palpatine. And how did that work out? Yes, in the end you abandoned that job too.

Oh, come on. He's just misunderstood (and under medicated).

What concerns me is that his son,Luke, is following DIRECTLY in daddy dearest's footsteps...It all started with the hand.

They both had the same mentor too. Can you say "Closet Sith"? I think maybe Old Ben was "Forcing" his Padawans towards the dark side the whole time!

I mean who would suspect him? Yoda envy anyone?

Well, to be fair Luke was somewhat emotionally abused by his elders.

Obi-Wan comes along and promises him happy good times playing Jedi, then abruptly bails on him. Later he disconcertingly whispers to Luke at odd and hectic moments. Later still he shows up as a spirt-thing, making odd demands that Luke go away somewhere.

Yoda first pretends not to know Luke, then says he's too old to be worth his trouble. Reluctantly agreeing to deal with the boy, Yoda then forces Luke to physically carry him around a swamp while spouting off cryptic lessons in an annoying backwards syntax. Then he forces Luke into a psychedelic cave where he has terrifying, bizarre visions. And again, Luke is left alone when Yoda bails on him.

Then Luke runs into Vader again, whereupon Vader cuts off Luke's hand and then coldly reveals "By the way...I'm your dad".

Luke kind of has a little panic attack at this point. Understandable.

Later, dad and son are reunited again and Dad intends to force Luke to go work for the same miserable company he works for. When asked by Luke if he has any feelings at all for him, daddy says no. They fight for a while but ultimately Dad admits he loves his son after all. Whereupon he promptly bails on him.

I kind of like the idea of you in a 12 step programme...
